1. These regulations apply to the use of artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI) tools in the Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, including but not limited to large language models, generative AI, code-assistance tools, and AI agents.
2. The use of AI tools is not mandatory for solving contest problems. Teams may use AI tools during the contest, but they must adhere to the principle of openness and transparency, ensure that the core modeling and analysis of their submitted work are primarily led by the team, and all the AI-generated contents are individually reviewed and verified manually.
3. Teams shall include an "AI Tool Usage Declaration" before the references in their paper and select one of the following:
(1) If no AI tools were used, the declaration shall read: “This team has not used any AI tools during the contest.”
(2) If AI tools were used, the declaration shall read: “This team has used AI tools during the contest, mainly for [a brief purpose such as language polishing, code debugging, etc.]. For detailed usage, please refer to the supporting materials.”
4. A submission that uses AI tools shall include a detailed description of AI tool usage in its supporting materials (in PDF format, with the file name “Details of AI Tool Usage.pdf”). The content shall include:
(1) The names, versions, or models of the AI tools used;
(2) The specific purposes and stages of use;
(3) A description of the principal promptingapproach and the usage process (typical interaction examples may be attached);
(4) The principal details of the adoption, manual modification, and verification of AI outputs (except for language polishing).
5. A submission that does not comply with the above regulations shall be deemed to have violated the contest rules and will be handled according to the seriousness and severity of the case. If a team intentionally conceals AI usage, makes a false declaration, or submits AI-generated content as its core modeling and analysis results without the necessary manual review and verification, its eligibility for awards shall be revoked.
6. These regulations shall be trialed starting from September 1, 2026. Any relevant provisions previously issued that are inconsistent with these regulations shall be superseded by these regulations.
7. The right of interpretation of these regulations belongs to the Organizing Committee of the Contemporary Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling.
